Time: After school until 4:30 PM | Free of charge

We’re excited to launch a new initiative at Cedars Manor School — the Empower Hour programme, in partnership with the award-winning charity Akshaya Patra UK.

This after-school programme focuses on one simple but powerful aim:
ensuring children have access to a free, hot, healthy meal in a calm and supportive environment.

Each session provides:

• A nutritious, freshly prepared hot meal, cooked in Akshaya Patra’s top-rated kitchen in Watford

• A quiet, safe space after the school day, where children can eat comfortably, unwind, and feel supported by familiar school staff

Why this matters:We know that some children face barriers at home — including food insecurity, overcrowded living conditions, or a lack of routine after school. Empower Hour helps to address these challenges by offering consistency, nourishment, and a sense of care at the end of the day.
